PARADE ENTRIES ALL ENTRIES MUST HAVE A SIGN WITH THE GROUP’S NAME LARGE ENOUGH TO READ ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE/ENTRY. ALSO, NO ITEMS CAN BE THROWN FROM THE VEHICLE/ENTRY (EX. CANDY, ETC.) OR GIVEN OUT DURING THE PROCESSION PER CITY SAFETY RULES.
PARADE PARTICIPANT TRASH Do not leave trash in the parking lot or on the street if you decorate your entry on-site. Please take your trash with you. The parade will proceed promptly at 4:00 pm. The remainder of the festival ends at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Park.

RAIN OR SHINE NAACP Black History Parade is a rain or shine event - only the threat of severe weatherwould hinder our plans. Be prepared for the weather by bringing adequate protection for your entry – i.e. umbrella for walkers.
MARKETING NAACP Black History Parade encourages all parade participants to decorate their entries in keeping with the Black History theme and your company and/or organization. Your 'look' is key to getting your name out into 'the world,' and we encourage you to promote your business during the event. Once accepted to the NAACP Black History Parade, you grant Morgan County NAACP and the City of Madison the right to use images of your entries for festival and parade promotion.
SECURITY Morgan County NAACP believes in providing a safe and secure environment for the event. Morgan County NAACP will not be liable for any damage, theft, injury, or weather-related damage incurred during the festival and/or parade. Your signature on the parade application signifies your understanding and acceptance of these parameters.
PARADE PARKING Parking will be at the Morgan County Middle School during parade staging and procession. Any exception to this plan must be approved by the Event Coordinators before the event.
