ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY PARADE & FESTIVAL
4/18/2020

The Morgan County NAACP wants to thank everyone for their interest in our upcoming event. Our branch continues to have the community’s health and well-being as our highest priority. Due to the growing concern of the coronavirus pandemic, we have canceled our event for this year. As we navigate during uncertain times, we want everyone to continue to adhere to the CDC guidelines to stay safe.

We look forward to everyone attending the event in 2021.

Best Regards,

Morgan County NAACP

The NAACP’s principal objective is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority group citizens of the United States and eliminate race prejudice. The NAACP seeks to remove all barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes.  This mission is accomplished by seeking the enactment and enforcement of federal, state and local laws securing civil rights, and by informing the public of the adverse effects of racial discrimination.

Founded in 1909 in New York City by a group of black and white citizens committed to social justice. The NAACP is the nation’s largest and strongest civil rights organization.
